Isaac Woodward

Isaac Woodward was a veteran of World War II who was brutally attacked by a police officer in 1946. The incident led to a national outcry and helped to galvanize the civil rights movement. Woodward became a prominent figure in the movement, using his experience to advocate for justice and equality. He was a key figure in the development of the Civil Rights Act of 1948.
