J. Frank Dobie

J. Frank Dobie was an American folklorist and writer who is best known for his work on American folklore and music. He was a professor at the University of Texas and was instrumental in collecting and preserving traditional American music. Dobie was also a musician and wrote several books on music and folklore. He is considered one of the most important figures in the development of American folk music.
