Jacques-Louis David

Jacques-Louis David was a French painter and draftsman. He was born in 1748 in Paris. David was a prominent figure in the Neoclassical movement and is known for his historical paintings, including 'Oath of the Horatii' and 'Napoleon Crossing the Alps'. He was a member of the French Academy and received several awards for his work. David died in 1825 in Paris.
