James Boasberg is an American lawyer and jurist who has been serving as a U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia since 2010. He was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate on May 7, 2010. Before becoming a judge, Boasberg served as a law clerk for Judge Henry Friendly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
