U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia
James Boasberg is an American lawyer and jurist who has been serving as a U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia since 2010. He was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the Senate on May 7, 2010. Before becoming a judge, Boasberg served as a law clerk for Judge Henry Friendly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is known for his decisions on issues such as campaign finance and affirmative action.
