James Turrell

James Turrell is an American artist known for his light installations and sculptures. He was born in 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Turrell grew up in a family that encouraged his interest in art and science. He studied art at Pomona College and later at the University of California, Los Angeles. Turrell's work often explores the relationship between light and space. He has exhibited his work worldwide and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the art world. In his free time, Turrell enjoys reading and hiking. He is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
