Astronomer and Professor of Astrophysics
Jane Greaves is a British astronomer and professor of astrophysics at Cardiff University. She is known for her research on the atmospheres of exoplanets and her work on the detection of phosphine gas in the atmosphere of Venus. Greaves has received several awards for her contributions to astronomy, including the Royal Astronomical Society's Gold Medal. She is also a popular science communicator and has written for several publications, including The Guardian and The Conversation. Greaves has a strong online presence, with over 10,000 followers on Twitter and over 5,000 followers on Instagram. She is also a frequent guest on BBC Radio 4's Today programme.
