Jean-Claude Duvalier

Jean-Claude Duvalier, also known as Papa Doc, was a Haitian politician and dictator who ruled the country from 1971 to 1986. He was the son of François Duvalier, also known as Papa Legba, and succeeded him as president after his father's death. Duvalier's rule was marked by authoritarianism, corruption, and human rights abuses. He was overthrown in 1986 and fled to France, where he lived in exile until his return to Haiti in 2011. Duvalier has been accused of numerous human rights abuses, including torture, forced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings.
