Jeffrey C. Sessions is a former Attorney General of the United States. He served in the U.S. Senate from 1997 to 2001 and was a U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia from 1986 to 1993. Sessions was nominated by President Donald Trump to serve as Attorney General in 2017. He was confirmed by the Senate and served until his resignation in 2018. Sessions has been a vocal critic of the Mueller investigation.
