About Jessica
Jessica Watkins is an American astronaut and engineer. She was selected by NASA in 2017 and is currently training for her first mission to the International Space Station. Watkins is a geologist and has a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked on several NASA missions, including the Mars 2020 rover. Watkins is also a professor at the University of Texas at Austin and has taught courses on geology and planetary science.
