Jia Zhangke is a Chinese film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born in 1970 in Fenyang, Shanxi Province, China. Jia Zhangke's films often explore themes of Chinese history, politics, and culture. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Jia Zhangke is also a professor at the Beijing Film Academy.
