Jim Peterik

James Michael Peterik is an American musician and songwriter born on November 11, 1950. He is best known as the founder of the rock band Survivor, as vocalist and guitarist in The Ides of March, and as co-writer of the anthem "Eye of the Tiger", the theme from the 1982 film Rocky III. Peterik has co-written songs for 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackhawk, Cheap Trick, and Sammy Hagar.
