Joan Aiken

Joan Aiken was a British author of children's and young adult fiction. She is best known for her fantasy novels, including "The Wolves of Willoughby Chase" and "The Ironwood Chronicles". Aiken was born in London in 1929 and grew up in a family of writers. She began writing at a young age and published her first novel in 1959. She went on to write over 100 books throughout her career, including novels, short stories, and non-fiction works. Aiken was a prolific writer and was widely acclaimed for her work.
