Joan Busquets

Joan Busquets is a Spanish veteran maquis and resistance fighter who has been involved in the fight against franquism since the 1940s. Born in 1927 in Barcelona, Spain, Busquets joined the Republican forces during the Spanish Civil War and continued to fight against the franquista regime after the war. He was arrested and imprisoned several times, including a 41-year stint in prison, but continued to advocate for justice and memory. Busquets has written several books about his experiences and has been recognized for his contributions to Spanish history.
