About Joanna
Joanna Baillie was a Scottish poet, playwright, and translator. She was one of the first women to be elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Baillie was known for her works on history and literature, and was a prominent figure in the Scottish Enlightenment. She died in 1851 at the age of 89.
