Joaquín Guzmán Loera

Joaquín Guzmán Loera, known as El Chapo, is a Mexican former drug lord and leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. He was born in 1957 in La Tuna, Sinaloa, Mexico. El Chapo was arrested in 2014 and extradited to the United States, where he was convicted of multiple charges related to his involvement in the drug trade. He is currently serving a life sentence at the ADX Florence supermax prison.
