Joe McCarthy

Joseph Raymond McCarthy was an American politician. He served as a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin from 1947 until his death in 1957. McCarthy is known for his role in the Red Scare and his accusations of communist infiltration in the U.S. government. He was a prominent figure in the Cold War and his name became synonymous with anti-communism.
