Johanna Spyri

Johanna Spyri was a Swiss author and poet, best known for her children's books, particularly 'Heidi'. She was born in 1827 in Zurich, Switzerland, and died in 1901. Spyri's works often dealt with themes of nature, family, and social issues. She is considered one of the most important Swiss writers of all time.
