Johannes Huygens

Johannes Huygens was a Dutch mathematician and astronomer who made significant contributions to the fields of optics and astronomy. He is best known for his discovery of the rings of Saturn and his development of the first successful pendulum clock. Huygens was a prominent figure in the scientific community of his time and was a close friend and collaborator of Galileo Galilei.
