John Baldessari

John Baldessari was an American conceptual artist, educator, and writer. He is known for his work in the fields of conceptual art, performance art, and film. Baldessari was a prominent figure in the development of conceptual art in the 1960s and 1970s. He was also a prolific writer and published several books on art and education. He taught at the California Institute of the Arts and was a visiting professor at several other institutions.
