Planetary geologist and NASA scientist
John Grotzinger is a planetary geologist and NASA scientist who has worked on several high-profile Mars missions, including the Mars Science Laboratory rover. He is currently the Chair of the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at the California Institute of Technology. Grotzinger has a Ph.D. in geology from Harvard University and has published numerous papers on Mars geology and the search for life on the Red Planet.
