John Henderson

John Henderson was a Scottish soldier who was captured and enslaved by the Arabs of Zanzibar in the 19th century. Despite his circumstances, Henderson managed to win the heart of a princess and eventually escaped to Alexandria. He later became a successful businessman and entrepreneur, using his experiences to advocate for the abolition of slavery. Henderson died in 1885, but his story continues to inspire people today.
