Legendary Shortstop and Baseball Legend
John Henry Lloyd, also known as 'Pop', was an American professional baseball shortstop who played in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest shortstops in baseball history. Lloyd played for several teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Braves. He was known for his exceptional fielding skills and his ability to make game-changing plays. Lloyd was also a pioneer for African American players in baseball, helping to break down racial barriers in the sport. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
