English philosopher and physician
John Locke was an English philosopher and physician who is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the Enlightenment. He is best known for his ideas on social contract theory and the separation of powers. Locke was born in 1632 in Wrington, Somerset, England and studied at Christ Church, Oxford. He later became a physician and served as a member of the English Parliament.
