John Nunn

John Nunn is a British chess grandmaster and mathematician. He was born in 1956 and began playing chess at the age of four. Nunn studied mathematics at the University of Oxford and went on to become a lecturer in mathematics. He became a chess grandmaster in 1980 and has since competed in numerous international tournaments. Nunn has written several books on chess and mathematics including 'My 60 Memorable Games'. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has received several awards for his contributions to chess and mathematics. Nunn is active on Twitter and has a strong following on Instagram. He is based in London, England.
