John Pemberton was an American pharmacist and inventor who is best known for creating Coca-Cola. Pemberton was born in 1831 in Tennessee, USA. He studied medicine at the University of Georgia and later worked as a pharmacist in Atlanta. In 1886, Pemberton created a new soft drink to cure headaches, which he called Coca-Cola.
