John Pizzarelli

John Pizzarelli is an American vibraphonist, guitarist, arranger, and singer. He was born on October 20, 1952, in Paterson, New Jersey. Pizzarelli began taking piano lessons at age three and later studied with renowned jazz musicians such as Buddy DeFranco, Harry Edison, and Al Cohn. He released his debut album, 'Pizzarelli Plays the Great American Songbook', in 1997. Pizzarelli has worked extensively with orchestras and big bands, including those led by Harry James, Buddy Rich, and Dizzy Gillespie.
