John York

John York is an American businessman and owner of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on March 14, 1952, in San Francisco, California. York is the son of the late Edward D. York, the former owner of the 49ers. He inherited his father's team and has been the owner of the 49ers since 2011. York is known for his philanthropic efforts in the San Francisco Bay Area.
