Jonáš Maxim is the current Archbishop of Prešov. He was born in 1964 in Prešov, Slovakia. Maxim studied theology and philosophy at the University of Prešov. He was ordained as a priest in 1990 and became a bishop in 2001. Maxim has been the Archbishop of Prešov since 2010. He is known for his work on promoting interfaith dialogue and cooperation.
