Jonathan Kaplan

Jonathan Kaplan is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for directing the films "The Outsiders" and "Rumble Fish", both based on novels by S.E. Hinton. Kaplan has also directed several other films, including "The Outsiders" sequel "The Outsiders: The Final Cut". He has worked with several notable actors, including C. Thomas Howell and Emilio Estevez. Kaplan has been recognized for his work with several awards, including a Saturn Award for Best Director. He is also a successful producer and has produced several films and television shows. Kaplan is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) and has a degree in film production. He is based in Los Angeles, California.
