Former President of Uruguay
Juan María Bordaberry was a Uruguayan politician who served as President of Uruguay from 1972 to 1976. He was a key figure in the Uruguayan military dictatorship and played a significant role in the country's history. Bordaberry was born in 1925 in Montevideo, Uruguay, and studied law at the University of the Republic of Uruguay. He was a member of the National Party and served as President of Uruguay during a period of significant political instability. Bordaberry was overthrown in 1976 and went into exile. He died in 1990.
