Julia Duffy is an American actress and comedian. She was born on October 30, 1958, in Los Angeles, California. Duffy began her career in comedy, performing stand-up comedy and appearing on television shows. She is best known for her work on the NBC sitcom "Newhart," and has also appeared on other television shows, including "Designing Women" and "The Bold and the Beautiful.".
