Julia Sherrill

Julia Sherrill is an American politician who served as a U.S. Representative for New York's 15th congressional district from 2013 to 2019. She was the Democratic nominee for Governor of New Jersey in the 2021 election, but lost to incumbent Governor Phil Murphy. Sherrill graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School, and worked as a lawyer and advocate before entering politics. She is known for her progressive policies and advocacy for women's rights and LGBTQ+ issues.
