Karel Köcher was a Czechoslovakian intelligence officer who worked for the State Security (ŠtB) during the communist era. He is best known for being the last agent to be exchanged between the West and East Berlin in 1986. Köcher was highly educated and cultured, and his work involved infiltrating the CIA. After the Velvet Revolution, Köcher continued to work in the intelligence community, and he remains alive today at the age of 91.
