Karel V

Karel V was a King of Spain from 1500 to 1556. He was a member of the House of Habsburg and is considered one of the most important figures in Spanish history. He was a skilled military leader and expanded the borders of the Kingdom of Spain. He also promoted the arts and architecture, and his court was a center of culture and learning. He died in 1556 at the age of 55.
