Karen Armstrong

Karen Armstrong is a British author and historian of religion. She is known for her work on comparative religion and her critiques of fundamentalism. Armstrong has written numerous books on the history of religion, including The Case for God and A History of God. She has also been a vocal critic of the Catholic Church's handling of child abuse cases. Armstrong has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Academy of Sciences' Public Welfare Medal. She has also been a frequent guest on various television and radio programs, including The Colbert Report and NPR's Fresh Air.
