The President of Kazakhstan is the head of state of Kazakhstan. The current president is Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He has been in office since 2019 and has a background in politics and law. Tokayev has served as the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and has been a member of the Kazakh parliament.
