Kevin Hassett is an American economist and politician. He was born on March 24, 1963, in New York City. Hassett earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and a master's degree in economics from the University of Chicago. He served as the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2020. Hassett is a professor of economics at the University of Chicago and has written several books on economics.
