Former baseball player and manager
Kid Gleason was an American baseball player and manager. He played in the major leagues from 1908 to 1926 and was a key figure in the 1919 Black Sox scandal. Gleason managed the Chicago White Sox from 1920 to 1923 and was known for his aggressive playing style and his ability to motivate his players. He was also a popular radio personality and appeared on various sports programs. Gleason was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973. He passed away in 1979.
