King Rufus was the King of England from 1087 until his death in 1100. He was the son of William the Conqueror and succeeded him as king. King Rufus was known for his cruel and tyrannical rule, which led to widespread discontent among the English nobility. He is also known for his role in the establishment of the English monarchy and the development of the English language.
