UK Chancellor of the Exchequer
Kwasi Kwarteng is a British politician who served as the Chancellor of the Exchequer from October 2022 to October 2022. He was a Member of Parliament for the constituency of South West Norfolk and a member of the Conservative Party. Kwarteng was born on January 26, 1975, in London, England. He studied economics at the University of Cambridge and later earned a master's degree in economics from the University of Cambridge. Kwarteng began his career in politics as a member of the Conservative Party and held various positions, including a member of the House of Commons and a member of the Treasury Select Committee. He was appointed as the Chancellor of the Exchequer in October 2022, succeeding Rishi Sunak. Kwarteng resigned as Chancellor of the Exchequer in October 2022 after just 49 days in office. He is known for his advocacy of free market economics and his support for Brexit. Kwarteng is married to Susannah Kwarteng and has two children. He is a member of the Church of England and has been a strong supporter of the Conservative Party's values.
