Lady Margaret Beaufort

Lady Margaret Beaufort was a member of the House of Beaufort and a descendant of King Edward III. She was born around 1443 and married Edmund Tudor, a half-brother of King Henry VI, when she was 12 years old. After Edmund's death, Margaret became the guardian of their son, Henry, who would eventually become King Henry VII of England. Margaret played a crucial role in protecting Henry during the Wars of the Roses and ensured his succession to the throne. She died in 1509.
