Lamya Khattab is a Lebanese writer and intellectual. She is known for her works on Arabic literature and history. Khattab was born in 1950 in Beirut, Lebanon. She studied at the American University of Beirut and later moved to France, where she continued her studies. She became a prominent figure in the Lebanese intellectual scene and was known for her critiques of Western colonialism. Khattab wrote several books on Arabic literature and history, including a biography of the famous Arabic poet, Al-Khansa. She is currently a professor at the American University of Beirut.
