Lars Engebretsen

Professor Lars Engebretsen is a renowned orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert. He has held various leadership positions in the sports medicine community, including serving as the President of the International Society of Sports Traumatology. Dr. Engebretsen has published numerous papers on sports injuries and has developed several innovative treatments for ACL injuries. He is widely recognized for his expertise in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine. Born in Norway, Dr. Engebretsen completed his medical degree at the University of Oslo and went on to pursue his PhD in sports medicine. He is currently the Head of Medicine & Science at the IOC's Scientific and Medical Department.
