Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy was a Russian novelist, philosopher, and social reformer. He is best known for his novels "War and Peace" and "Anna Karenina", which are considered some of the greatest works of literature ever written. Tolstoy was a prominent figure in Russian literature and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1902. He was also a vocal advocate for peace and non-violence.
