Li Guangde is a Taiwanese politician and diplomat. He is a member of the Democratic Progressive Party and has served as the President of Taiwan since 2020. Before becoming president, he served as the Minister of National Defense and was a member of the Legislative Yuan. He has been a strong advocate for Taiwan's independence and has sought to improve relations with other countries in the region.
