Li Yu (1135-1203) was a Chinese poet, writer, and politician during the Song dynasty. He is known for his poetry and his role in the rebellion against the Song government. Li Yu was born in Hangzhou, China, and studied at the Imperial Academy. He later became a prominent figure in the rebellion against the Song government, but was eventually captured and executed.
