Li Zhisui was a Chinese physician and historian who served as the personal physician to Mao Zedong. He is best known for his memoirs, which provide a unique insight into the inner workings of the Chinese Communist Party. Li Zhisui was born in 1919 and died in 2005. He was a prominent figure in Chinese intellectual circles and was known for his expertise in medicine and history.
