IRA commander
Liam Lynch was an Irish republican and commander of the IRA during the Irish War of Independence. He was a key figure in the fight for Irish independence and played a leading role in the 1920s IRA campaign. Lynch was known for his bravery and strategic thinking, and was respected by his comrades and opponents alike. He was killed in action in 1923, at the age of 31. Lynch is still remembered today as a hero of the Irish independence movement.
