Lieutenant Colonel Harry Smith was a British Army officer and explorer who played a key role in the military campaigns of the British Empire. He was born in England and served in the British Army for over 20 years, rising through the ranks to become a Lieutenant Colonel. Smith was known for his bravery and tactical skills, and was awarded several honors for his service. He is best known for his role in the Battle of Berea, where he led a British army against the Basotho kingdom. Smith died in 1840 at the age of 40.
