Lilburn W. Boggs was an American politician and lawyer who served as the governor of Missouri from 1836 to 1838. He was a strong opponent of the Mormon settlers in Missouri and played a key role in the Missouri Mormon War. Boggs was a member of the Democratic Party and was known for his strong stance against the Mormons. He died in 1860 at the age of 63.
